St. Stephen, East Toledo

The old school, church, and rectory.
Like so many Toledo churches, it had a fire, in 1908. Being a wooden building, unlike the others, it didn't survive.

Out of curiosity, was there anyone that was involved or injured in the 1908 fire at St. Stephen's church or school?

I don't think so, but I'm not sure. I'll ask Kevin to check Msgr. Mossing's history.

Mossing doesn't mention any injuries. Next time I'm at the main library I'll check the parish history.
I believe a fireman or policeman may have been injured slightly while rescuing the Blessed Sacrament during the fire in the 1980's though.
