Basilicas and More Basilicas

Pope Francis has named the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak, Michigan, as a Minor Basilica.  Details HERE.

Somehow I missed several churches in Ohio being given the designation recently:

St John in Canton

St Mary of the Assumption in Marietta

Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown

Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson (near Youngstown).

Our local basilica, Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, was given the title in 1971.

A list of all basilicas in the United States HERE.

I enjoy visiting beautiful churches. Which Ohio churches would you recommend as the best churches to see in Ohio?

Here's a list of impressive churches that I have seen both inside and outside.

Toledo: Rosary Cathedral, Historic St. Patrick.
Perrysburg St. Rose.
Tiffin: St. Mary, St. Joseph.
Sandusky St. Peter & Paul.
Carey, Our Lady of Consolation.
Canton, St. Peter.
Massillon, St. Mary.
Cincinnati, St. Peter in Chains.

There are many more outstanding churches that I have seen only from the exterior, and many areas of the state that I haven't visited. Two churches I hope to visit: St. Joseph Cathedral just over the state line in Wheeling WV, and St. Vincent de Paul in Mount Vernon, OH.

Anyone else have favorites to recommend?

Thank you, now I have to learn some Ohio geography. I visited some of the Cross Tipped Churches. Thought Immaculate conception in Celina was beautiful. Don't think I visited any in Ohio that were not impressive.
